Bee-bop Inspired Music Painting

Whew! Glad I am done with that! The reason the background is a really bright white is because, after I had painted my original design, which went somewhat out of control, I painted over it with white. I really like the way the curvy staff turned out, and how I was eventually able to fill the space. I would not call this my best project, but it sure was a learning experience in color and organization.

Ambiguous Space with Oil Pastels

Wow! I think this is the most colorful project I have ever done! I have learned that I really like oil pastels, and that, for a very left brained person, I think ambiguous space is very interesting. Anyway, the structure in this is centripetal radiation (objects stretching out from the center) with anomaly ("rogue" blue spheres). I like hos it all came together, and I hope viewers can tell what is the foreground and what is the background. And the intense color helps, too.

Self Portrait with Radiation

Whew! I went from one eye to this in three days! In the end, I really like the portrait...I just could not fix the mouth. I do like how the faded structure resebles the sun, but is still representative of radiation. If I had to name the two faults of this, however, I would probably say the mouth and the shoulders/arms. Despite the challenges, though, I do like the way it turned out.

Wow! I'm suprised I made it through this project! That was more paper stars than I ever wanted to cut. Anyway, I like the way the project turned ous, and the way the concentration of alot of small stars against more spaced out bigger stars looks good. I also like the layering of colors on the bigger stars to create even more contrast. In conclusion, cut paper looks good on a project, but is not very fun to work with.

Sorry this is sideways... This is how Blogspot downloaded it. Anyway, I really liked the way the letters turned out on this project. I think it just a bit stronger than just if i had done rectangles gravitating to the top. I also decided to vary the size of the letters for more contrast. I like the way the cut paper turned out, put it did take longer than just drawing. In any case, I am happy with the outcome.

I like the way this project turned out, but I think I could have done a better job if I had spent more time on it. I have drawn this start to finish over course of the school day, but i'm just glad I was able to get it done on time. Also, I think it turned out oddly positioned on the paper, but I do like the design.

I enjoyed this project! I decided to combine the different techniques of raditation that we learned for this project, and I thought it turned out to be a success. The only drawback to this idea was that it took me quite a while to fill in all of the squares.
